Dear parents,
A reminder to park away from the school gates. Do not park on the yellow lines or zigzag lines and be mindful of children crossing. We need school to be safe for children and we have experienced some near misses recently.

Frozen Fridays – starts Friday 5th June
Our school council will be selling ice pops each Friday in the summer term at break times. The costs of an ice pop is 50p. This is to raise money for additional playground equipment to make our playtimes even better!

Sports Day – Tuesday 9th June - next week
Our annual sports day will be on Tuesday 9th June (weather permitting) Y3 to y6 will take place at 9.30am to 10.30am (approx.) and Reception, Y1 and Y2 will be on the afternoon at 1.45 to 2.45pm approx. You are very welcome to join us on the school field that day. Children can come to school in their PE kits on that day.

Beach day – attendance award for all – Tuesday 30th June
As a reward for our brilliant attendance this year of 96.2% (so far) – our highest attendance ever! We are treating the children from Reception to Y6 to a day at the beach. We will leave school at around 10am and enjoy sandcastle making, scavenger hunts and games as well as lunch and an ice-cream! We will return to school in time for home time. (we will not be going into the sea!) further details will be issued nearer to the date – this is a free event.

Bishops visit and our helping hands hub – 19th June
As you may be aware St Cuthberts have set up a hub to help families in our town who may be in need of school uniform, toys, books, warm coats or even food parcels. The hub will be officially opened by Bishop Stephen on 19th June. His visit in the morning will be followed by an outdoor celebration led by our children. Parents are welcome from 2 – 3pm on the school playground to join our celebrations. More details to follow.
