DERBY ROAD (D5515), HASLEMERE
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC NOTICE 2026

SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL IN EXERCISE OF ITS POWERS UNDER SECTION 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers hereby gives notice that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in the entire length of Derby Road (D5515), Haselmere.

Alternative Route – High Lane and Weydown Road or this route in reverse.

This Notice is required to facilitate carriageway patching and resurfacing works, to be carried out by, or on behalf of Surrey County Council within the length of road described in this notice. The Notice will commence on 27 October 2026 for a period of up to 5 days, however, the works are anticipated to be carried out within 2 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained at all times, as well as pedestrians, dismounted equestrians and dismounted cyclists. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the signed diversion route.

The prohibition referred to above will not apply: (i) in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; (ii) in respect of anything done in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Police; (iii) to any vehicle being used in connection with the works; (iv) to any person carrying out the works.

It was an honour to visit Moorhouse Care Home yesterday to meet the residents and see their new trishaw bicycle in action. The trishaw gives residents the experience of cycling without any of the hard work, and it was wonderful to see the enjoyment it brought. - Cllr Jacquie Keen - Mayor of Haslemere

First leg completed!
