Over the last few weeks our gymnasts have been performing and competing. They got off to a great start with the club gymnastics placing 1st place on vault and another gymnast achieving 3rd overall. Then our 5/6 children competed. They performed excellently, placing close behind the medals spot. Finally yesterday, our 3/4 children competed showing super skill and control. The team came 2nd overall. Well done to all of the children, you represented our school beautifully. 👏 💚 💛

Year 5 have thoroughly enjoyed their Butterfly Moment trip to Stump Cross Caverns where they explored the caves and found out all about how they were formed. They also learned about fossilisation and even made their own imprint of an ammonite fossil to take home. They were a joy to take as they asked so many brilliant questions and showed impeccable behaviour and manners throughout the day.

Y6 had a wonderful time at Manchester Runway Visitor park today as one of their butterfly moments. They were able to explore the terminal, board a replica DC-10 and even climb aboard Concorde! They were an excellent group to take on this visit- they behaved impeccably and asked wonderful questions throughout 🦋💛💚

As part of our RE curriculum on world faiths, Class 3 and 4 visited our local Mosque to learn about how some members of our school family pray and practise their faith.

During the visit, the children had the opportunity to explore the Mosque, learn about Islamic beliefs and traditions and discover the importance of prayer in the daily lives of Muslims. They asked thoughtful questions and showed great respect and curiosity throughout the experience.

Visits like these help to develop our understanding of different faiths, promote respect for diversity and support our values of inclusion and community. We would like to thank everyone at the Mosque for giving us such a warm welcome and sharing their knowledge with us.
