Little look back at our dreamy launch party to celebrate the reopening of the Castle last month. It was so wonderful to see everyone enjoying the space and exploring the site and of course all the wonderful performers and artists who joined us.

Looking forward to our next Sundowner next Saturday, we will have music, bbq and bar and hopefully 🌞 last batch of tickets up on the website and via link in bio

And our final Solstice Special: Death Meditation and Grief Circle with doula Katie Rose Whiting, assisted by celebrant Demelza Mary Pearce

This Death Meditation and Grief Circle invites us into the heart of that midsummer paradox , fullness and fading, arrival and letting go.

We gather at Hastings Castle to sit with the turning of the light, exploring how endings are already woven into moments of brightness. Rather than resisting this truth, we will listen for it gently as something natural, cyclical, and deeply human.

Through guided meditation, breath, rest, and simple ritual, this space becomes a meeting point between grief and vitality. Not as opposites, but as companions in the same living process.

We will explore how life continues to move through us even as things change, even as we release, even as we are asked to begin again.

Meet your Wonky Sportsday games makers!

Ellie is a performer and theatre maker and one half of the Hastings Castle events team. She loves being silly and doing energetic things and generally trying to spread her competitive energy in low stakes spaces like a staring competition or a weakly fought physical fight at the end of a party.

Brook Tate is a painter, performer, artist, creator of multicolour maths and passionate member of new Morris side the Molly Winklers. He is the most energetic person you’ll ever meet and will be our ball boy for Wonky Sports Day (we’re not actually using any balls but he’ll be moving with that kind of speed). We are excited to see his socks.

When she isn’t facilitating creative projects, Nicola likes nothing better than unleashing competitive organised fun! She proves that sport doesn’t have to be skill and fitness focused, and believes that limping around and laughing should be for everyone.

Her favourite sports include running screaming into the sea, find the keys, and cheating at monopoly
