Went to my local surgery today. Arrived just before the opening time of 08:00 and it was already open. Totally empty, no queue. Quick triage at the reception and then off I went to await a call. That came about two hours later and I have an appointment on Friday. Yes, THIS Friday.

Thank you The Labour Party for making this happen. If we're seeing record numbers of people arriving by small boats, then clearly they're not, and never were, the problem Daily Mail

A brilliant, inaugural RNLI December Dip this morning. Over 100 people took to the chilly waters to celebrate 200 years of the RNLI and to raise funds through sponsorship. Huge congratulations and thanks to all those who braved the sea and those who worked so hard putting the event on, keeping everyone safe and supplied with tea and mince pies.

Great 'Estates Day' at Alexandra Park Mansions today. A full team of technicians on hand to attend to issues raised by residents as they are reported. A superb initiative that is much appreciated.

Thank you to all at Southern Housing , the estate management team and, of course, the lovely residents.
