It has been a joyful week across the school, with children embracing every opportunity to learn, explore and grow.
Spending time outdoors has been a real highlight. Our children have been busy observing and exploring living creatures, showing curiosity, care and a real sense of wonder about the natural world around them. These moments of discovery are so important in helping children develop both their knowledge and their appreciation of the environment.
In classrooms, pupils have been inspired by the work of different artists, responding thoughtfully and creatively. It has been wonderful to see such focus, pride and imagination in their work, alongside a continued determination to work hard and do their very best.
In PE, athletics has been in full swing, with children developing their skills, resilience and teamwork. There has been great encouragement shown for one another, and a real sense of achievement as pupils challenge themselves.
Our chess team were fabulous in Round 2 of the county chess competition against St Andrews, Sandown and Wadhurst schools. A competitive 2 hours of non-stop chess requiring plenty of concentration and resilience. Well done everyone! Next up is the county finals day at Ardingly College in June.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. It has been a week full of effort, enthusiasm and success.
