As we conclude the penultimate week of term, the BIGGEST shout-out has to go to our Year 6 crew 📣 💥

Their positive attitude, determination and resilience towards their SATs this week, has been incredible. We could not ask for any more from our pupils - they gave it their all 🙌🏼

They were superbly prepared and as a result, the tests didn’t phase them. They worked methodically through the papers, using the given time carefully and calling on everything they had learned in their lessons. Thank you to our fantastic Year 6 staff team for being wonderful advocates for our children and supporting them to do their very best ♥️

We are so PROUD of you all 👏🏻 ☺️

Happy last week of term everyone and we look forward to seeing you for Open Learning afternoon on Friday where we can share all that we have achieved in Term 5.

4-day weeks don’t slow us down! We have still managed to fit so much learning in to the shorter week and just as much fun.

Everyone is working extremely hard and producing some fantastic outcomes all round, as a result. We have seen some impressive publishing of books which have been shared and enjoyed with peers. There has been lots of creativity across the various art projects and some very skilled sculptors in the making.

There is a real buzz around the school as the children enjoy the fruits of their labour - it’s wonderful to see and makes us very proud!

Happy 100th birthday to Sir David Attenborough 🎈

Happy weekend all ♥️

This week has been another wonderful reminder of what can be achieved through hard work, determination and a positive mindset 💪🏻

I have been incredibly proud of the quality of writing across the school. From thoughtful ideas to carefully crafted sentences, the progress children are making is clear to see. It is a joy to see them taking pride in their work and striving to improve. ☺️

Alongside this, we have celebrated some truly lovely achievements—both in and out of the classroom. Whether big or small, each success reflects the effort, commitment and resilience our children are showing every day.

What has stood out most this week is the determination across the school. Children are challenging themselves, persevering when things feel difficult, and showing real resilience in their learning. These are the qualities that will support them not just in school, but throughout their lives. 🙌🏼

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. I hope you have a wonderful bank holiday weekend and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday ☀️

It has been a joyful week across the school, with children embracing every opportunity to learn, explore and grow.

Spending time outdoors has been a real highlight. Our children have been busy observing and exploring living creatures, showing curiosity, care and a real sense of wonder about the natural world around them. These moments of discovery are so important in helping children develop both their knowledge and their appreciation of the environment.

In classrooms, pupils have been inspired by the work of different artists, responding thoughtfully and creatively. It has been wonderful to see such focus, pride and imagination in their work, alongside a continued determination to work hard and do their very best.

In PE, athletics has been in full swing, with children developing their skills, resilience and teamwork. There has been great encouragement shown for one another, and a real sense of achievement as pupils challenge themselves.

Our chess team were fabulous in Round 2 of the county chess competition against St Andrews, Sandown and Wadhurst schools. A competitive 2 hours of non-stop chess requiring plenty of concentration and resilience. Well done everyone! Next up is the county finals day at Ardingly College in June.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. It has been a week full of effort, enthusiasm and success.

Back to school and loving life! 💙

A positive first week as the children settled quickly and cracked on with their new learning for this term.

We always look forward to seeing the children after a school break and it’s wonderful to have the building filled with laughter again.

Very impressed with everyone and the fantastic start they have had to week 1 of Term 5 👏🏻

Happy weekend ☀️

Image-altering filters are now embedded across social media platforms, shaping how young people present themselves and interpret the world around them.

While these tools can appear harmless, they can also contribute to unrealistic expectations, social pressure and a blurred sense of reality.

Our latest hashtag guide supports educators and parents in understanding these challenges and responding effectively.

The guide explores:
• The impact of altered beauty standards and comparison culture
• Risks linked to hidden advertising and sexualised edits
• The influence of filtered content on confidence and identity

It also provides clear, practical strategies to promote media literacy, build resilience and support healthier online behaviours.

💔 We have sadly admitted a lactating vixen into care today, found in the Aldi - Ore carpark. She succumbed to her injuries soon after admission.
She is likely to have cubs in the area. If you see or hear cubs that look lost, crying out, or have been seen for a long period without an adult, please contact us for advice by phone or messenger.

🦊Unless it is an unsafe area to leave them, please do not pick up or move fox cubs without seeking advice first. In many situations, a parent is nearby watching, or they may be moving cubs from one area to another. Each case must be reviewed as we do not want to take cubs away from their family whenever possible.
