Creative Connections at Drawing Life
A wonderful morning of art, friendship and creativity at Hastings Contemporary – 19th June
On 19th June, we were delighted to be invited by Judy from Drawing Life to attend one of their free art sessions for carers and the people they care for at Hastings Contemporary.
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The session was relaxed, friendly and enjoyable, creating the perfect environment for people of all abilities to express their creativity. With all art materials provided, everyone was able to get involved and simply enjoy the experience.
A real highlight of the session was the opportunity to take part in a life drawing class with Helena Dollimore as the model. Whether participants were trying life drawing for the first time or already had experience, the atmosphere was supportive, encouraging and full of laughter.
Tea, water and biscuits were available throughout the morning, helping to create a warm and welcoming space where people could relax, chat and make new connections. It was much more than an art class, it was a chance to spend quality time together, boost wellbeing and enjoy being creative in the company of others.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Judy and everyone at Drawing for Life for their kind invitation and hospitality. It was a fantastic experience, and we would highly recommend these sessions to anyone looking to explore their creative side, meet new people and enjoy a fun, inclusive and supportive environment.
