The Old Hatfield Farmers Market returns to Salisbury Square on Sunday 18th October, 10am-2pm, with stalls full of autumn's harvest, many run by the growers, bakers and beekeepers themselves. 🍎

Once the shopping is done, Hatfield Park is a short walk up the hill, where visitors can enjoy the Park as the leaves continue to change colour.

I am beyond excited about my new studio space. An incredible 70sqm beautiful space in Salisbury Square, Old Hatfield. Thank you Hatfield House for allowing me to use this gorgeous space to create new, extra large paintings!!

Today I spent my first day painting in here and it felt great! I can’t wait to see what I paint in here.

What will you find in the Haunted Forest this October? 👻

Witches & Wizards Week returns to Hatfield Park this half term, and we look forward to welcoming young spell-casters and potion-makers for a magical adventure.

Follow the Haunted Forest Walk to discover bewitching creatures, magical scenes and ghostly surprises, all made from recycled materials by Sarah Ruggeri of our Park and Gardens Team. 🎃

Every ticket includes a witches & wizards hat-decorating workshop with Splodgers, so you can take home a hat of your own. 🧹🪄

On the third Sunday of every month, Salisbury Square comes to life with the Old Hatfield Farmers Market. 🧺🥖

Discover seasonal fruit and vegetables, artisan sourdough and raw honey from local producers. Then make a day of it with an afternoon stroll through Hatfield Park, just moments away.

Calling all witches, wizards and magical adventurers... A spellbinding October half-term awaits at Hatfield Park. 🎃

Witches & Wizards week returns with haunted woodland trails, wicked workshops and plenty of seasonal magic for little ones to explore.

Each ticket includes entry to the haunted trail and wider Park, plus a hat-decorating workshop led by Splodgers Arts & Crafts, so brave witches and wizards can create their own spooky headpiece to wear through the woods and take home afterwards. 🧙

The Art of Collecting, the next event in the Hatfield Park Lecture Series, takes place this Friday 25th September.

The evening not only explores some of Hatfield House's own collections, but also delves into the psychology behind why we collect in the first place.

It begins with a ch*****ne reception in the Long Gallery, followed by talks from Dr Timothy Schroder, Dr Susan Bracken, and Tom White. We hope you'll join us for this fascinating evening of historical expertise and contemporary psychology.

The Art of Collecting Speaker Spotlight: Dr Timothy Schroder.

Timothy is a leading historian and lecturer on silver, goldsmiths' work, and the culture of collecting and display. A Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries, he is a former President of the Silver Society, a former Consultant Curator at the Victoria and Albert Museum, and a former trustee of The Wallace Collection.

Join Dr Timothy Schroder and our panel of experts on Friday 25th September as they explore the centuries-long human impulse to collect through the story of one of Hatfield House's most remarkable treasures: the Rock Crystal displayed in the Long Gallery.

Guests will also have the opportunity to view the Rock Crystal in the Long Gallery before and after the lecture, with plenty of time to admire its intricate detail in this unique historic setting.
