At 13:46, UK time, the time the first plane struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center, our duty crew alongside the divisions training department and the local command staff came together to observe a moment of silence.

Marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, we paused to remember the 343 FDNY firefighters and the thousands of people who lost their lives.

Our hearts go out to their families and loved ones. Rydyn ni'n cofio. ❤️

This past weekend we were honoured by a most generous donation from the family of our own Firefighter’s James Sheen.

During the recent spate conditions Ff Sheen’s sister Cathy Bell of Treharris along with her Daughter Darcy contributed to donations for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service. In an effort to replicate this appreciation to MAWWFRS Cathy and her wider family contributed funds and delivered a huge thank you package to Haverfordwest Fire Station. It was utilised the day after at a significant wildfire our crew attended.

Another extraordinary example of the continued support by the public that is not expected but provides the crews an extra boost.

A huge thank you to Family Sheen ❤️
