Volunteer Jamie attended the launch of Pembrokeshire People First's Dream Team Learning Disability Charter at HaverHub.

The event opened up with a speech by Delme Harries from Pembrokeshire County Council.

The Dream Team then delivered a presentation on the history of the charter and what is included in the new and updated charter.

We were then treated to a performance by Take A Bow (Arts Care Gofal Celf Projects) that was informative, energetic and inspiring.

We're looking forward to seeing the brand new charter.

Volunteer Jamie attended Learning Disability England's Making Positive Moves Toolkit launch event.

The toolkit focuses on people with learning disabilities moving into their own home after discharge from hospital. It uses a strong foundation to help them live in their home and be independent.

A very useful resource that will help people live their best life.

Volunteers Jamie and Rhiannon attended the West Wales Learning Disability Consultation event hosted by Pembrokeshire People First.

The strategy focuses on information gathered from people with learning disabilities and autism on topics such as health, education, transport, housing and social services.

A lot of feedback was given and we were treated to a performance by Take A Bow which was inspiring and thought-provoking.

A reminder to all volunteers/members/staff to keep cool and hydrated over the next few days due to the high temperatures.

I got myself a Frappe to keep me cool. What are you doing to keep yourself cool?

It was lovely to hear one of our volunteers Lucy on Pure West Radio yesterday talking about Learning Disability Week, her photography and her new role as Town Councillor.

We all here at Young Voices For Choices are proud of what Lucy has accomplished, breaking down barriers for those with a disability.

Also thank you for the shout out at the end.
