Oathall YFC News and updates about Oathall Young Farmers Club. The Young Farmers Club (YFC) is one of the largest and most diverse extra-curricular clubs at Oathall.

The group is affiliated to the Sussex Federation and we take a part in county, inter-county and national events. The Oathall YFC has over 100 members and is managed by a committee who organise a varied and interesting programme of events eg visits, community work, fundraising and discussion groups. The YFC is a practical pursuit it is also about having fun and trying new things such as taking part

in competitions, cookery, public speaking and tractor driving. We often work with community groups and undertake a variety of fundraising activities for a range of charities. Members of Oathall YFC have the chance to prepare and train one of our pedigree cattle, sheep or pigs to show at major agricultural shows regionally and nationally. This process takes a great deal of time and patience and it takes a special young person to present themselves and their stock in smart order in front of a judge and a large crowd of people.
