If you are claiming Early Years Funded Entitlement for Working Families your code must be reconfirmed every three months. Codes must be reconfirmed, or applied for, before 31 August this term. If you miss the deadline, you will not be able to access EYFE for Working Families funding during the autumn term. The autumn term begins on 1 September.

If you are not sure if your code is valid, your chosen childcare provider can check this for you.

Are you returning to work from maternity/paternity/parental/adoption leave soon? The date you start a new job or return to work will affect when you can apply for and get Early Years Funded Entitlement (EYFE) for Working Families.

Visit https://www.gov.uk/check-eligible-free-childcare-if-youre-working to check your eligibility for EYFE for Working Families and find out when you need to apply.

If you live in England and work you may be able to get free childcare for a child aged 9 months to 4 years old. Check if you're eligible and how and when to apply.
