Let's hear it for the teachers! Today is , and we have some of the best here at Kew Wakehurst 🧑‍🏫

Last year, we welcomed over 14,000 pupils, none of which could have been possible without the wonderful team of teachers we have leading groups from early years all the way up to university level.

It's been a record breaking year for our schools! 🏆In the 25-26 academic year, we welcomed over 14,700 students - our busiest ever 🎉

Education at Wakehurst extends far beyond the four walls of a classroom, with over 500 acres on offer for engaging sessions. Activities and lessons are inspired directly by the science that takes place here in our living laboratory. From pond-dipping to pollinator counts, and seed dissection to scientific careers, there's something to inspire every curious mind 🔎

Thank you to all the pupils and teachers for joining us in such a momentous year!

Putting on a 𝗴𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗱geous display! It’s officially pumpkin season, and after this years’ weather, Wakehurst’s pumpkins have been ready to harvest a month early! Here’s Carmen, our Cultural Gardener, with this years’ pickings!

Come and see them for yourself in the Children’s and Community Garden, next to the Mud Kitchen. They’ll be on display while they’re looking their best, before they’re turned into some seasonal lanterns 🎃
