πŸš’ Congratulations Nick Maher β€” 28 Years of Service!

After an incredible 28 years, Nick Maher Nick Maher has hung up his helmet at Heathfield Community Fire Station, having joined East Sussex Fire and Rescue back in 1998.

Nick has been a cornerstone of the Heathfield community, with the dedication and professionalism that defines the very best of the blue light services.

Over nearly three decades, Nick has not only protected lives and property, but has mentored the next generation of firefighters, passing on his knowledge, experience, and values to those who will carry the torch forward.

Tonight marked Nick's final drill night β€” pictured here with his crew, in kit, in the station he called home. What a way to sign off. 🫑

To the community he served, the colleagues he stood alongside, and the many he mentored along the way β€” Nick, your contribution means more than words can say.

Thank you for your service, your dedication, and everything you've given. πŸ”΅πŸš’

Safe home, Nick. 🫑
