📸 A look back at our May Micro-Provider Network Event!

It was fantastic to bring our network together to connect, share experiences and support one another.

We also welcomed a guest speaker who shared advice and support available for those just starting out.

🤝 One thing that really stood out? How much our members value coming together and building connections.

We’re planning another network event towards the end of summer—watch this space!

☕ In the meantime, join our upcoming DropIn Morning on Tuesday 30th June between 10am 12pm if you’d like to find out more about the Care Connections network.

Tea and biscuits provided!

No need to book, just turn up, but feel free to make contact if you would like more information 😊

This Carers Week, we honour the incredible unpaid carers in our community.

Behind every act of care is dedication, compassion, and strength. To those supporting loved ones day in and day out, thank you for everything you do. Your contribution matters, and you are valued.

Together, let’s recognise, support, and celebrate unpaid carers 💚

✨ It’s Carers Week ✨

Are you an unpaid carer?

If you help look after someone who is disabled, elderly, or living with an illness, support is available for you too.

It’s , a time to recognise the incredible contribution unpaid carers make, and to raise awareness of the challenges they face. It’s also an opportunity to help people with caring responsibilities identify as carers and access the help and support available to them.

From everyone at Blackdown Support Group, thank you to all carers for the vital role you play in our communities. If you are looking for additional support or would like to find out what help is available locally, please get in touch – we are here to help.

We had a fantastic time at the Dunkeswell Fete today. It was great to be out in the community, enjoying the lovely atmosphere, meeting new people, and supporting local stalls and activities.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with us and to the organisers and volunteers who made the day such a success ✨

Celebrating Our Amazing Volunteers 💚❤️

This Volunteers’ Week, The Blackdown Support Group and The Blackdown Healthy Living & Activity Centre want to say a huge thank you to all of our incredible volunteers. Yesterday, we celebrated with a special lunch to recognise the time, energy, compassion, and dedication they give throughout the year.

Our volunteers make a real difference every day, supporting our community and helping us achieve so much more together. We are truly grateful for everything they do.

Thank you for your commitment, kindness, and hard work — this week, and every week. 🌟
