Did you know … your very own Henley Library kicked off the Henley Music Festival this year? Well I never did! On Wednesday this week we recorded a LIVE musical PODCAST. As if we need any more excitement … the podcast is now available on Spotify. Search up “Henley Library Podcast” and listen away.

In less exciting news, we have just finished mopping the floodwater so our library doors could open as usual today:
Tues 9.30-11.30, Wed 2-6
Thurs 9.30-11.30, Fri 11-1,
Sat 9.30-12.30

Quick update to our poster for our Peter and the Wolf podcast on Wednesday 26 August - the music comes from the lovely book--Annie is reading, but Clarissa Clarinet won't be attempting Prokoffiev! We gather in the children's section at 2 and start our session at 2:15. Bring your own favorites and let us know you're coming.

🎵 There's still time to join the Summer Reading Challenge!

Join Summer Reading Challenge 2026: Read to the Beat and discover a world of stories inspired by music, rhythm and creativity! Children can collect rewards, celebrate their reading achievements, and enjoy plenty of great books throughout the summer.

Whether your child loves picture books, adventures, fact books or graphic novels, there's something for everyone at Warwickshire Libraries.

There's plenty of time to sign up and complete it before the summer ends!

Well …. next week we have some locals popping in ….maybe Mrs Snake of Henley High St, Mr Toad of Ullen Hall, Ms Cockatiel from Claverdown, and possibly Guinea Pig from Hogley Heath (if the wolf doesn’t eat it first).
