Could your business be better prepared for a changing climate?

Five Herefordshire businesses are being invited to take part in a new Business Climate Adaptation Programme, offering expert support to help understand and prepare for the impacts of climate change

The programme will provide each business with a climate change adaptation audit and a personalised action plan, identifying practical steps to improve resilience to issues such as flooding, extreme heat, storms and water scarcity

Businesses will receive their top five adaptation priorities, along with recommended actions, timescales and potential resources to help put them into practice to reduce disruption, protect income and build resilience for the future

Help shape better Adult Social Care services in Herefordshire

The best services are created by listening to the people who use them

Herefordshire Council is launching a new People’s Panel, bringing together people with lived experience of adult social care and unpaid carers to help shape and improve future services

By working alongside social care teams and partner organisations, panel members will share their experiences, ideas and expertise to help co-produce services that are more person-centred, inclusive and effective

This is about more than simply asking people for their views. It is about working together to design services that reflect what really matters to the people who use them and supporting people to live well, safely and as independently as possible in their own communities

We’re looking for 12 local people to join the panel. Members will be paid for their time and expertise, including training

If you have lived experience of adult social care or are an unpaid carer, your experience could help make a real difference to the future of local services
