Born and raised in Hereford and now living once again in Eign Hill, Leigh has a strong personal connection to the area and a genuine commitment to its future. He is passionate about ensuring that Eign Hill remains a vibrant, well-maintained community where residents and families can thrive.
Professionally, Leigh is a University Lecturer and Psychologist, bringing a thoughtful, analytical approach and a wealth of experience to understanding local issues and finding practical solutions.
Through conversations with residents, Leigh has identified a number of priorities for the ward, including improving local infrastructure, addressing parking challenges, enhancing health and leisure facilities, and ensuring greater transparency and accountability in council decision-making. 🔵 Meet Your Conservative Candidate for Greyfriars – Mark Wrathall
We are delighted to introduce Mark Wrathall as the Conservative candidate for Greyfriars Ward in the 2027 Herefordshire Council elections.
Mark brings strong local roots, a genuine commitment to the community and a passion for improving opportunities for residents across Greyfriars. Having lived and worked in Herefordshire for most of his adult life, and as a resident of Greyfriars since 2019, he has a real understanding of the issues that matter to local people.
Professionally, Mark works in the agricultural and veterinary sector, giving him first-hand experience of one of Herefordshire's most important industries. He is passionate about supporting local communities and believes that everyone should have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Mark is a strong supporter of the Hereford Bypass and would like to see more opportunities for young people through both sporting and educational activities. Outside work, he enjoys hiking, gardening, rugby, the arts and natural history. He has performed with the Hereford Musical Theatre Company (HMTC) and is also an Associate Member of the Royal Entomological Society.

Michael came remarkably close to winning Birch Ward in 2023, demonstrating the strong support he has already built within the local community. With your continued support, we believe Birch Ward is a realistic opportunity for a Conservative gain in 2027.
Michael has remained actively involved in the community and is committed to representing the residents of Birch Ward. He serves as a Parish Councillor for Much Birch and is a Governor at Much Birch Primary School. As Chair of the Birch Ward Branch, he has also worked to strengthen the local Conservative team and encourage greater community engagement.
