A closer look at one seriously impressive face! 🦬🤎

From the texture of that thick coat to the curve of those horns, European bison are full of fascinating details that make them truly one of a kind.

There’s so much more to these magnificent cats than meets the eye! 🐾👀

Lynx are incredibly well adapted to life as predators, with excellent hearing and eyesight helping them to detect prey, even when it’s hidden from view. Their distinctive ear tufts, thick facial ruffs and beautifully patterned coats give them their unmistakable appearance.

As solitary hunters, lynx rely on stealth and patience to get close to their prey before launching a carefully timed attack. They play an important role in their ecosystems, helping to regulate prey populations and maintain the balance of nature.

Help us make a difference for British wildlife!💚

At Wildwood Trust, we’re passionate about protecting native species, caring for the animals in our collection and inspiring more people to get involved in conservation. Now, you can help support our work by nominating us in Benefact Group’s Movement for Good animal and wildlife special draw.

Ten charities will each receive £5,000 to support their important work, and we’d love Wildwood to be one of them!

How can you help? Simply complete the short online nomination form and nominate Wildwood Trust.

📅 Nominations close on Sunday 18th October 2026.

Every nomination boosts our chances! Share with your friends, family and fellow wildlife lovers.
