🚨 Important Community Safety Message 🚨
We’ve received reports of people deliberately setting fires in woodland areas. With the current warm weather and dry vegetation, even a small fire can spread rapidly, putting people, wildlife, homes and the environment at serious risk.
Wildfires can grow quickly and unpredictably, leading to damage to homes, harming to local habitats and significant demands on emergency services.
👮🚒 We are working closely with our colleagues at TVP Wycombe who will be carrying out patrols in the affected areas to help prevent further incidents and keep our communities safe.
How you can help:
✅ Never use disposable barbecues or open flames in woodland or grassland areas
✅ Dispose of ci******es safely and never throw them from vehicles
✅ Avoid leaving glass bottles behind, as they can intensify sunlight and ignite dry grass
✅ Report any signs of fire immediately by calling 999
✅ If you see suspicious activity, report it to the police
