The Market Square Car Park has now closed ready for the Farmers Market tomorrow morning. There are a number of great events happening in the Town this evening, but if you're not going to be able to legally and safely move your vehicle later on, please do not use the Market Square.

If you are planning to visit the Farmers Market tomorrow, permitted parking is available just off Midland Road, as shown.

Happy Friday! Heading into town tomorrow? Why not make a day of it! 🌞

The Market Square Car Park will close tomorrow at 5pm, ready for the Farmers Market on Saturday morning.

If you do not think you will be able to safely and legally move your vehicle on Friday evening, please do not park in the Market Square.

If you are planning to visit the Farmers Market, permitted parking is available just off Midland Road, as shown.

Don't forget to share your views on the future of the timber bridge at Riverside Park.

Following a detailed Principal Inspection, the bridge has been confirmed as unsafe for public use in its current condition. The inspection report recommends that the bridge will need to be repaired, replaced or removed.

Any future works would be funded from the Council’s reserves — funds supported by the taxpayers of Higham Ferrers. That’s why it’s important that you take the opportunity to help inform the Council’s decision.

A polite reminder that all of the play areas in Higham Ferrers are dog exclusion zones.

We have had two incidences in recent days of dog poo being left inside a fenced play area, this is unacceptable and is a health and safety risk to the children that play in these areas.

Please do not bring dogs into any fenced play area, even on a lead. We have lots of parks and open spaces where you are more than welcome to exercise your dogs, and a dedicated off-lead area at Stanwick Road just over the A6.

We have a number of lost property items at the Town Hall found recently in our parks and open spaces. If any of these items belong to you please feel free to pop in to see us, we're open to the public from 9.30am-2.30pm Mon-Fri or give us a call on 01933 312075.

Who can believe it's the last week of August already?! 😮 But you know what that means - it’s Farmers Market Week 🌾🛍️ Come along this Saturday to enjoy a fantastic selection of fresh produce, delicious treats, local goodies and independent traders. Visit the Mayor at the Town Council Gazebo to get involved in his Summer Hamper raffle! Tickets will be £1 a strip and the winner will be drawn at 12.30 🎟🧺
