Merry Xmas human folk!

Whilst there are alot of good things this time of year (people's dedication to connecting is one of my favourite), there is also alot of s**t.

Mentally, this list tradition, puts a huge burden on parent/carers & children alike. One of the many reasons organisations like or see a massive increase in calls this time of year.

This year,
Forget the list.

Model kindness you wish to see; they will follow all year Long.

PARENTS!
Has the TV show Adolescence got you worried about what your child might be looking at on the internet (which has been going on for years before this TV show btw)?

I recognise this is a bit delayed, but I want to share with you.

The great folk at Movember & Beyond Equality have created a wonderful, easy resource for you, on how to talk to your child about what they are reading/seeing/looking at online and more.

There’s a lot of concern around online masculinity influencers’ impact on boys and men, but it’s not often that these young men themselves are asked what they experience. So that’s what we did.

In 2024, Movember surveyed 3,000 young men aged between 16 and 25 from Australia, the UK and US, creating a first-of-its-kind report about Young Men’s Health in a Digital World.

Get out of your way!

This also applies to life in general, right? I am so good at overthinking or stopping myself from 'doing things' because I have no time, it's too hard, or I might second guess and think it's silly.

While it is good to consider our actions, it is also good to put limitations on those considerations. No action can or will.ne perfect, take a moment to think, and then do.

What's the worst that can happen, it goes wrong? We learn something (easier said than done, believe me, I know). It goes well, you feel great, have fun and maybe, just maybe smile!

Get out the way Nicks brain...sometimes đź«

August (and a bit of sept)

So its weird right? These mostly fun, silly, happy faces.

But i had a week off in August due to mental illness and even yesterday, imploded for an afternoon (from which my superhero family dug me out of).

Goes to show right, photos we take and our day to day face isnt always representative. However, the other side of that coin is this is a reminder of all the awesome times ive had, things ive done in last month.

Remember, those hard memories ingrain for the short term, but happy is for the long

Haven't done a doodle in a while.

I dont know about you, but i struggle to find happiness inside. I often look outside, like to nature or hanging with friends. But i get it.

My depression has been kicking my ass this last month, and every time, i think im turning a corner 'BLAMMO' its there again, waiting in the shadows. Getting a bit better now, i think tough.

We can control our behaviours and our attitudes towards things, which in turn can help us see things a better way, improving our mental state, just fu***ng hard to do!

Anyway, xray didn't find it...can you...🤷

Many Faces of Mental Illness x 2 months

Its been a while, and to be honest, the last 2 months have had massive ebbs and flows with my mental health, i've cried twice already today as i'm writing this.

I've not been giving my stress funnel enough off time, in order to reboost my mental energy, its been s**tty.

In 2 of those photos, there was about a 20-minute gap from me losing my mental capacity to think and getting massively pi**ed off, to me gathering my head and realigning my 'chi' to do angergy time. It can turn around so quickly its just scary.

I am still struggling to manage myself happily if i am honest, even with my beautiful partner and baby girl, I sometimes struggle to see the woods for the trees.

Anyway, till next month x

First family camping was fun, I wrote a longer blurb, but Insta didn't save it.

No Internet, no signal, no power.

Might be the way forward for mental cleansing
