Author and historian Stephen Dorril is returning to the Library to share his research into the sudden and unexplained disappearance of Victor Grayson, the charismatic socialist MP for Colne Valley from 1907-1911.

Our volunteers are busy restocking shelves, dusting, tidying and preparing the library to open again next Tuesday.

They've all done a fantastic job over several years in hosting fundraising events, writing grant applications, selling raffle tickets, preparing auctions and so much more.

We can't wait to welcome you back to your library, and we couldn't have done this without your support and our incredible volunteers.

When do we open?

There's been a little confusion about the date in the Honley Flyer for the Grand Re-Opening of the library....

Just for 100% clarity:
The library opens next Tuesday 1st September at 1pm. No ribbon cutting, just a quiet turning of the sign, unlocking of the doors and service resumed.

The Grand Re-Opening in October is a formal event with ribbon, special guests, sponsors, grant funders...

We're open next week for Knit and Natter, the SEND support group and more... The formal event is our way of thanking those organisations who donated and funded the work.
