I took this picture today 3 ships in at the same time and thought to myself that the people behind the scenes at Holyhead Port don’t always get the recognition they deserve.

From Stena, the Harbourmaster, Craig Johnstone (Cruise Manager at Stena), and all the teams working tirelessly behind the scenes, a huge amount of hard work goes into bringing these cruise ships on top of our usual daily ships safely into port and ensuring every passenger has a safe and enjoyable visit.

The operation involved is incredible and it really does deserve appreciation.

Well done to everyone at Holyhead Port – your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. 👏🚢⚓

📢 Opportunity Available – Newry Beach Kiosk Lease 📢
Holyhead Town Council is pleased to invite expressions of interest for the lease of Kiosk 1, Newry Beach.

The kiosk is available to lease on a fixed-term basis at a rental cost of £5000 per annum, payable in monthly instalments. Please note that utility costs are not included in the costs.

Individuals or businesses wishing to express an interest are invited to submit a business plan via email to [email protected].
Due to planning restrictions we can only accept applications from class A3 Businesses.

Closing date for expressions of interest: 30th June 2026
For further information, please contact the Town Council office.

Under New Ownership
Holyhead Town Council is proud to announce that it has taken over the ownership and management of the Boston Centre Stage.
The Town Council would like to place on record its sincere thanks to the previous committee for their dedication, commitment and hard work over many years in operating the Boston Centre Stage for the benefit of the local community. Their efforts have helped establish the venue as an important community asset and valued local facility.
The Town Council intends to continue operating the Boston Centre Stage as an established community venue, ensuring that it remains available for the benefit of residents, community groups and visitors alike.
As part of its long-term commitment to the facility, the Town Council will be developing an improvement and upgrade programme. Further details of these plans will be announced in due course as the Council progresses its vision for the venue.
This latest acquisition further strengthens the Town Council's growing portfolio of community assets and demonstrates its ongoing commitment to investing in facilities and services that benefit the people of Holyhead. The Council remains focused on protecting, enhancing and developing community resources for current and future generations.
Further updates will be provided as plans develop.

Mae Cyngor Tref Caergybi yn falch o gyhoeddi ei bod wedi cymryd drosodd perchnogaeth a rheolaeth Y Boston Centre Stage.

Fe hoffi Cyngor y Dref rhoi ar gof a chadw ei diolch i’r swyddogion a’r pwyllgor am ei ymroddiad a’I Gwaith caled dros y blynyddoedd i gadw'r safle ar agor er bydd y gymuned. Mae ei ymroddiad wedi sicrhau safle pwysig sydd a’i wreiddiau yn y gymuned.

Mae Cyngor y Dref yn bwriadu cadw'r Boston Centre Stage fel safle cymunedol er bydd trigolion a grwpia lleol ac ymwelwyr i’r dref.

Fel rhan o gynllun hir dymor y Cyngor fe fyddwn yn creu cynllun i adnewyddu'r adeilad ac fe fydd fwy o wybodaeth ar gael pan fydd y Cyngor wedi cwblhau ei gweledigaeth i'r adeilad.

Cybi a Seiriol - Pilgrimage route weekend festival

Join guided walks, talks and live music celebrating Anglesey’s new Cybi a Seiriol pilgrimage route.

Following the Wales Coast Path and ancient inland footpaths, the route connects churches across the island, from St Cybi’s in Holyhead to the Priory Church of St Seiriol at Penmon. Each church has its own saint and story

During the Cybi a Seiriol Festival weekend, we invite you to explore these historic places and the communities that surround them.

Wythnos y Gwirfoddolwyr 🌟

Wrth ddathlu Wythnos y Gwirfoddolwyr, hoffem ddiolch o galon i bob aelod o dîm Croeso i Gaergybi am eu gwaith arbennig ar ran Cyngor Tref Caergybi.

Mae eich ymroddiad, eich brwdfrydedd a'r croeso cynnes rydych yn ei roi i ymwelwyr yn gwneud gwahaniaeth enfawr. Rydych yn llysgenhadon gwych i'n tref, gan rannu eich gwybodaeth leol a dangos y gorau sydd gan Gaergybi i'w gynnig.

Bydd hon yn wythnos brysur iawn, gyda saith llong fordaith yn ymweld â Chaergybi. Fel erioed, bydd ein gwirfoddolwyr wrth galon y croeso, yn helpu ymwelwyr, yn cynnig cyngor ac yn sicrhau bod pawb yn cael profiad cofiadwy o'n hardal.

Mae llwyddiant y fenter Croeso i Gaergybi yn dibynnu ar eich gwaith caled, eich proffesiynoldeb a'ch angerdd dros ein cymuned. Rydym yn hynod ffodus o gael tîm mor arbennig yn cynrychioli'r dref.

Volunteer Week Appreciation 🌟

As we celebrate Volunteer Week, we want to say a huge thank you to every member of the Welcome to Holyhead Team for the incredible work you do on behalf of Holyhead Town Council.

Your dedication, enthusiasm, and warm welcome help create a fantastic first impression for the thousands of visitors arriving in our town. The pride you show in Holyhead, your local knowledge, and your willingness to give up your time for others truly make a difference.

This week will be a particularly busy one, with seven cruise ships scheduled to visit Holyhead. As always, our volunteers will be at the heart of the welcome, providing information, guidance, friendly faces, and showcasing the very best our community has to offer.

The success of the Welcome to Holyhead initiative is built on your commitment, professionalism, and passion for our town. We are incredibly fortunate to have such an outstanding team representing Holyhead and helping visitors leave with wonderful memories of their time here.
