🇬🇧🤝🇧🇪 Strengthening NATO partnerships through people, collaboration and shared purpose.

RAF Valley was delighted to welcome Brigadier General Goossens and Lieutenant Colonel Pelletier from the Belgian Air Force this week, during a visit to observe the role of 4 Flying Training School and the RAF’s fast-jet training capability.

Visits such as this are about far more than aircraft and training. They are about people — building trust, sharing knowledge and strengthening the relationships that underpin our collective ability to operate together across NATO.

Here at RAF Valley we are showcasing the professionalism, expertise and commitment of the people who deliver world-class training every day, while highlighting the collaboration and partnerships that make NATO stronger.

A privilege to welcome our Belgian colleagues to RAF Valley and continue building on the strong and enduring relationship between the RAF and Belgian Air Force.

🎉✈️ Celebrating Excellence: RAF Valley Texan Graduation ✈️🎉

We are proud to announce the successful graduation of Courses 310-28 and 29 from the Texan training programme at RAF Valley, marking a significant milestone in the fast jet pipeline. 🚀

Air Vice-Marshal Ian Sharrocks CBE MA RAF, Air Officer Commanding 22 Group, said:
“These graduates have shown the skill, resilience and determination needed to succeed in military aviation. They represent the very best of our future fighting capability and the next generation of combat aircrew who will defend the UK and its interests.” 🇬🇧✈️

The Officer Commanding 72 (Fighter) Squadron, Wing Commander Matt Axcell, added:
“Congratulations to all graduates on completing Basic Flying Training and earning their RAF wings at RAF Valley. This achievement is a proud moment for the pilots and their families, marking the start of their journey to becoming frontline fighter pilots. Their success reflects their hard work, determination, and the support of instructors, staff, and loved ones. I am proud to have been part of their journey and look forward to their future careers in the RAF.” 🎓👏

This graduation is especially notable as it includes Flight Lieutenant Arsh Dang, the first Sikh trainee to graduate on the Texan aircraft at 4 Flying Training School under the UK Military Flying Training System. 🙌 While not the first Sikh to graduate from Basic Flying Training, Flt Lt Dang’s achievement marks a significant step forward in representation and diversity within the fast jet community. 🌟

We also want to recognise the vital support of family, friends, and loved ones who have stood behind all the graduates throughout their challenging journey. Your encouragement and belief have been key to their success. ❤️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Congratulations to all the graduates on this outstanding achievement! We look forward to seeing your continued success as you progress through the RAF’s fast jet pipeline. 🚀🛩️

What a fantastic time we’ve had! 🙌

A massive thank you to everyone who came along to visit the RAF Valley Engagement Team — it was brilliant meeting so many of you, answering your questions, sharing stories and talking all things RAF, aviation and careers! 💙

🔥 And what a challenge you took on! 🔥

From taking on the Hawk Challenge 🦅✈️ to climbing into the ejector seat and experiencing a taste of what it takes to be a fast-jet pilot, you certainly put yourselves to the test! 💪

A special thank you to Sqn Ldr Paul Dodds for bringing the experience to life through his fantastic storytelling, sharing insight and experiences from the world of military aviation. 🎙️✈️

💙🇬🇧 SUPPORTING OUR RAF FAMILY — GIVING BACK TO THOSE WHO SERVE 🇬🇧💙

It was a great pleasure on Friday, during RAF Valley’s Families Day, for Station Commander Group Captain Gez Currie to present a cheque for an incredible £4,772.53 to the RAF Benevolent Fund. ✈️💙

The cheque represents the annual charitable contribution raised by RAF Valley Station, demonstrating once again the fantastic generosity, commitment and community spirit of our Whole Force. 🙌

The RAF Benevolent Fund provides vital support to serving and former RAF personnel and their families, helping those who have served our nation when they need it most.

A huge thank you to everyone across RAF Valley who has contributed, donated, organised and supported fundraising throughout the year. 👏

We’re incredibly proud to support such an amazing charity and look forward to another fantastic year working together, raising even more funds and making a real difference to our RAF family. 💙

Friday was all about our people — our families — and our Whole Force! 🙌

What an incredible day at RAF Valley, bringing together the people who make our station what it is. From our military personnel and civilian colleagues to contractors, partners, families and friends — this is the Whole Force in action. 🤝🇬🇧

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Day was a fantastic opportunity to step away from the day job, spend time together and celebrate the people behind the people who keep RAF Valley moving every single day.

✈️ There were plenty of smiles, laughter, activities and memories made — a brilliant reminder that RAF Valley is much more than an airfield or a workplace… it’s a community. 💙

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped organise, support and deliver such a fantastic day — and especially to our families for being such an important part of the RAF Valley story.
