Kemi’s call for Candidates:

Incredibly, 90% of the new Labour MPs at the last election came from a trade union, charity or public-sector background. Barely 1/5th of the Cabinet has any private-sector experience. In the Shadow Cabinet, 3/4 of us do. That distinction matters.

The skills Labour MPs have acquired are in lobbying for more funding, campaigning for more benefits or more red tape. Britain needs a new generation of politician.

Only the Conservative Party can build a team for the economic war effort required after Burnham/Starmer have finished this catastrophic experiment. We will need to fix every aspect of our system at once. There will be no kicking decisions into the long grass, only rolling our sleeves up and getting to work.

If you've ever thought about a career in politics but decided it was too risky or you wouldn’t fit in, now is your time.…We are looking for people from every walk of life who know how to get stuff done.

In return, we will make politics work for you.

Britain does not lack talent. It lacks a system that draws that talent into public life. Join Kemi’s team and help us get Britain working again.

Honiton and Sidmouth Conservatives were privileged to welcome Timothy Cho - Conservative Campaigner for Heatons North to Honiton last night for a powerful and deeply moving evening on faith, democracy and freedom.

Timothy is a two-time North Korean escapee who endured imprisonment in North Korea and China before rebuilding his life here in Britain. After being left behind as a child when his parents fled the regime, he became homeless and was labelled part of North Korea’s so-called “enemy class”.

Today, Timothy is a leading advocate for human rights, religious freedom and democracy, serving with the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group on North Korea and speaking internationally about the suffering of the North Korean people.

His testimony was harrowing, inspiring and a vital reminder that the freedoms we enjoy in Britain, including free speech, free elections and freedom of faith, must never be taken for granted.

The Telegraph recently covered Timothy’s extraordinary story here:

Thank you to Timothy for joining us, to all who attended, and to the Con Club in Honiton for hosting the evening.

Residents across rural East & Mid Devon are left without local bus links.

We'll be out in Upottery tomorrow discussing this with residents on the door.

Conservatives voted to investigate.
Labour voted to cover it up.

Farage and Jenrick didn’t bother to vote.

And here in Honiton & Sidmouth, our MP Richard Foord also failed to turn up.

On a vote about holding the Prime Minister to account over the Mandelson affair, Foord was missing in action — again.

Local people deserve an MP who turns up, takes a position, and stands up for them.

Keir Starmer sneaks one behind Richard Foord…

Today, Conservative MPs tabled a motion to refer Keir Starmer to the Privileges Committee over the Peter Mandelson affair.
But what did our Lib Dem MP Richard Foord do?

He ABSTAINED.

Missing in Action – AGAIN! Foord has built a worrying habit of ducking the votes that actually matter to people in East & Mid Devon: from the grooming gangs inquiry to the devastating new family farms tax.

Too weak to scrutinise Starmer.

Too spineless to stand up for local families.

Honiton & Sidmouth deserves an MP who turns up and fights — not this Lib Dem no-show.

Should Keir Starmer Resign Over the Mandelson Affair?

Sir Olly Robbins’ devastating evidence today has put the final nail in the coffin for Keir Starmer, exactly as Kemi Badenoch and senior Conservatives warned this morning.

Take our quick 30-second survey and tell us what YOU think.

Today’s evidence from sacked Foreign Office chief Sir Olly Robbins to the Foreign Affairs Committee has been utterly devastating for Keir Starmer.

21/04/2026

Watch this extraordinary clip from the Foreign Affairs Committee.

Instead of holding the government to account with strong, direct questions, our local MP Richard Foord tiptoes around the issue, dithering and hesitant. He’s so timid he can’t even bring himself to repeat a expletive when the Chair encourages him, so she ends up saying it herself: “just fu***ng approve it!”

This is the perfect example of pathetic Lib Dem leadership in action: too feeble and polite to deliver the robust scrutiny that Peter Mandelson’s appointment demands, while the rest of the committee pushes for straight talking.

Honiton & Sidmouth deserves better than an MP who tiptoes around the tough questions and fails to challenge the big appointments that affect our country.

Olly Robbins’ devastating evidence has put the final nail in the coffin for Keir Starmer. The whole scandal exposes a government in meltdown.

It's time for change. We need a strong MP who holds power to account.
