About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Support Officer to join our Planning Obligations Team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of infrastructure across East Devon. This varied and rewarding position provides administrative and technical support for the collection, monitoring and reporting of Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and Section 106 funding. Working closely with colleagues, developers and agents, town and parish councils and other stakeholders, you will help ensure that contributions from development are effectively managed and directed towards projects that support local communities. The role offers the opportunity to undertake research and data analysis, maintain specialist monitoring systems, provide advice and information to customers, and contribute to the successful delivery of planning obligations across the district.
About you
We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with information, solving problems and supporting the delivery of projects that make a difference to local communities. You'll be confident handling data and financial information, interpreting plans and legal documents, and communicating complex information in a clear and accessible way. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, you'll build positive relationships with colleagues, developers and agents and town and parish councils. Experience of Section 106 agreements, the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) or the wider planning process would be an advantage, but we also welcome applications from candidates with strong administrative, research or analytical skills who are keen to develop their expertise. Above all, you'll be someone who takes pride in delivering excellent customer service and contributing to a supportive and collaborative team.
