Please note that all collections of recycling, refuse & green waste will be one day later this week due to the Bank holiday Monday, 25th May 2026.

Recycling & Waste
We are currently experiencing a mini-heat wave! While many of us will enjoy the lovely weather, it makes the job even harder than normal for our collections crews, therefore, we will start recycling, waste and green waste collections at 6am during the warmer weather period, so that our crews are able to complete most of their rounds in the cooler part of the day. Please put your bins, boxes and bags out the night before, or by 6am on the day of collection.

Our beaches have been very busy due to the warm weather, meaning lots more rubbish at the bins along the seafronts.

Help look after our environment by:

🗑️ making sure the bin has space for your rubbish
🏠 taking rubbish home, if you can't find a bin
🛍️ bringing bags for your rubbish with you
♻️ using re-usable products wherever possible

🌸 2026 Tenant Garden Competition🌸

Did you tidy up your garden over the Bank Holiday weekend? Show us your work and submit an entry for our 2026 Tenant Garden Competition, celebrating the creativity, care and hard work that goes into making beautiful green spaces.

Categories include:
• Front Garden
• Back Garden
• Communal Garden
• Pots and Containers
• Vegetable Plot
• Young Gardener
• Disabled Gardener
• Eco Garden

Our judges will also select one overall winner, who will receive a £100 prize.

How to enter

Email your entry to [email protected], including:
• Your preferred contact details (phone number and/or email)
• Your age (if under 18)
• The category or categories you wish to enter

• Relax and try to control your breathing
• Use your hands to help you stay afloat
• It’s OK if your legs sink, we all float differently
