The Contingent welcomed Group Captain Moorehead, Station Commander of RAF Odiham, to the College on the occasion of our Biennial Inspection. The cadets did an amazing job showing off our CCF competing over a mixture of activities from paintball to flight simulator and even launched a home-made rocket as part of the display. The Station Commander was very impressed with everything she saw and we are incredibly proud of our cadets in whatever role they performed on the day.

The Officers and NCOs Annual Black Tie Dinner saw the presentation of the swords to our new Army and RAF Section Senior NCOs. Congratulations to Sophie and Pippa! Our RAF Competition team competed in the Regional Air Squadron Trophy yesterday. The team did an excellent job lead by Charlie and Henry in drill, space, cyber, air rifle shooting, first aid, and leadership. We finished 3rd overall in the air rifle. Congratulations to the whole squad on a really good performance on the day. You did us proud.

The recruits get a taste of life in the field on their basic training exercise. In 18 hours they practised cooking for themselves, basic cam and concealment, tactical movement without a weapon, night movement, why things are seen, shelter building, field signals, packing a Bergen, admin in the field.. and even got time for a few hours kip. A very enjoyable exercise with a great troop of recruits. Our NCOs were outstanding leaders and role models for the recruits to follow.

Lovely to have such a good turnout of new recruits as we start another new in CCF. Looking forward to next weekend as we take all the new recruits out on exercise overnight as well as put a team into the Cadet Skill at Arms competition
