Last week, while the sun was shining, the Rangers and the Volunteer Group have undertaken some play area maintenance works. De-rusting and re-painting the play equipment and fences not only helps us keeping on top of maintenance by prolonging the life of the items, but also keeps our play areas looking fresh and welcoming.

We are very excited to announce that Play Innovation will be starting improvement works at Jubilee Field, Horndean, on Tuesday 05 May 2026, where a new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) & Calasthenics Fitness area will be installed (next to the current fitness equipment).

The work is expected to take 5 weeks to complete.

We are looking forward to seeing the work progress and will bring you all along for the journey.

In order to carry out the work safely, the mapped area above and the current fitness equipment will need to be fenced off, additional to this, the first set of car parking bays in Jubilee car park (near to the bin storage area), will also be cordoned off by barriers and not available for use. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

You can see a glimpse below, of what the new area may look like.

A a Parish, we own and manage over 110 acres of land, and trying to manage some of these spaces in this way not only helps us promote our local environment but also actively helps nature on our doorstep.
