Hornsea Inshore Rescue is an independent lifeboat station serving the East Yorkshire coast. Established as a registered charity in 1994 after the removal of a HM Coastguard patrol boat, we continue to provide a life-saving service 24 hours a day. Please visit our website to make a donation.

Yesterday evening, 04/06/26, Hornsea Inshore Rescue were excited to welcome two officers from Humberside Police Marine unit to train with us on their fantastic sea-doo PWC's.

Crew practiced man overboard recoveries and transfers from our lifeboat to and from the jet bikes, along with taking control of the bike for a short period of time for familiarisation. Being familiar with all different types of water crafts and their controls is essential training for all of our crew.

We work closely with all emergency services and its great to be able to welcome teams like this to our station for joint training.

A brilliant, productive evening had by all.
