⚠️Extreme Heat – Temporary Changes to Reception Opening Hours⚠️

Because of the extreme heat warnings, especially on Wednesday and Thursday, we are taking precautions to protect visitors and staff.

• Reception may close earlier than usual today
• Reception may be closed on Wednesday and Thursday

If you are planning to visit, please call ahead to confirm availability.

Staff will remain available via phone and email as usual.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates where necessary.

🎨 Houghton Regis' First Arts & Cultural Festival🎨

Join us on Saturday 25th July 2026 to celebrate the art and culture of Houghton Regis! This event will be held in and around Bedford Square - including the library, atrium, community centre, All Saints Church, and the outdoor shopping area. From midday to 5pm ✨

We will be hosting an assortment of free children's activities including a Country Trail (with a prize for every child who joins in), glitter tattoos, and art activities (hosted by the library and Jewels) 🌎

We will also have entertainment provided by Full House Theatre, Indian Dohl Drummers, and Jewels will be hosting live music 🎼

Our talented artists of the town will be selling their wares in the atrium and All Saints Church will be opening up the church to the public 🪡

We are still planning a few more exciting activities for you all to enjoy, so keep an eye on our social media for more information about the day 👀

👣The People Powered Parade 👣

Join our Carnival's first People Powered Parade! Walk, wheel, push, dance, or pull your way from Houghton Hall Park Visitors' Centre to the arena on The Green in our new version of the Carnival Parade ✨

The Parade will leave at 10am from outside the Visitors' Centre and arrive at The Green around 10:40am (with a quick break for those with little legs at the Formal Gardens).

There will be prizes for the best entries, with judging at 9:45am before we set off - so get those ideas racing! Everyone is invited, including businesses, families, charities, and friend groups - there's even a prize for the best individual entry! 🏆

All entrants will receive a special 2026 Carnival badge 🦁

We’re delighted to share the Bognor Regis Town Crier Competition, taking place on Saturday 20th June 2026 at the Seafront Bandstand, starting at 12pm 🌊

Award-winning Town Crier Jane Smith will welcome competitors from across the UK and beyond, each showcasing their finest cries in traditional dress 🎩

🦁 HOUGHTON REGIS, LET ME HEAR YOU ROAR! 🦁

Regis the Lion here, to present to you our programme for the 2026 Carnival - Saturday 11th July from 10am to 4pm on The Green ✨

This year's Carnival is going to be jam packed full of family fun:
- Join us for the first People Powered Parade at 10am, leaving from the Houghton Hall Park Visitors Centre and arriving at the arena, on The Green at around 10:40am 👣
- Learn some new skills with Circus All Stars 🎪
- Be amazed by Krisgar Children's Magic Show 🪄
- Enjoy live music from The Roberts Family Band, Last of the Summer Ukuleles & Pantasy Steel Band 🎵
- Watch our dance troupes show off their moves 🪩
- Try your hand at boxing with Bellator Boxing 🥊
- Join in with a nationwide game of Beat the Street 🚴‍♀️
- And explore what over 70 stalls have to offer! There will be food, fun fair rides, games, and free children's activities hosted by many of our dedicated community teams 🎲
