Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) launched a Community Governance Review consultation earlier this year, asking for views on local electoral arrangements, including parish boundaries, ward boundaries and the number of elected councillors.

This consultation has taken place in two phases so far. For Houghton Regis, the number of elected councillors is likely to increase from 14 to 17 in time for the May 2027 election.

CBC has now opened a third consultation, specifically on whether the growing community of Linmere should become a ward of its own rather than being within the existing Tithe Farm and Parkside wards. CBC would like to know whether you support this proposal and, if so, why.

You don’t need any specialist knowledge — anyone can take part, and your everyday experience of the area is exactly what matters.

⏳ Last Chance to Have Your Say! ⏳

We’ve had 60 fantastic responses on the new name for Project H. Thank you to everyone who’s taken part! 🙌

If you haven’t yet had your say, there’s still time — but not much!
We’ve shortlisted four options for our new community venue:

💚 The Arc
💙 HR Link One
🩵 HR Hive
💚 HR Connect

This space will play a big role in our community — from daytime activities for residents to evening youth sessions and Town Council meetings — so we must get the name right.

• welcoming and inclusive
• modern but respectful
• suitable for all users
• easy to say and remember
