It only takes a few days of hot weather to increase the risk of fires. A spark can ignite grass or litter and a fire can quickly get out of control.

Please remember: Do not have BBQs in open spaces - throw rubbish away - dispose of ci******es carefully. https://bit.ly/4wZmk0y

Due to the red heat warning in place for our area, some of our bin collection crews will be starting rounds from 5am on Tuesday (23 June) this week to give them more time to collect while it's a little cooler.

We usually ask you to have your bins out by 7am on the day of collection, but please make sure your bins are out before 5am this week so they are ready for collection.

We appreciate that not everyone will see our messaging through social media, so please pass this message on to any friends, neighbours or relatives who may need to know.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

A new online self-referral solution for Adult Social Care is being introduced to make it easier for residents to receive the right support at the right time, from the right team.

Residents who create a portal account will be able to view updates on their enquiries’ journey with early signposting to other Council teams enabling the streamlining of urgent Adult Social Care issues.

Look out for further updates and a link to register later this week.
