Candles can create a warm and cosy atmosphere, but it’s important to use them safely. Always keep candles away from anything that can catch fire, never leave them unattended, and make sure they’re placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep them out of reach of children and pets, and remember to blow them out before leaving the room or going to bed. A little care goes a long way in keeping everyone safe. 🔥✨

🎄 12 Days of Fire Safety – Day 1: Safe Decorations! 🎄

As we fill our homes with festive cheer, it’s important to keep safety at the heart of our decorations. Before you hang up your fairy lights or plug in your decorations, give everything a quick check:
✨ Look for damaged wires, loose bulbs, or frayed cables – if anything doesn’t look right, take it down and replace it.
✨ If the wiring seems worn or questionable, don’t risk it – remove it immediately.
✨ And remember, never overload plug sockets. Use only the recommended number of plugs and avoid daisy-chaining extensions.

We are incredibly grateful for the kindness and generosity from our community — every donation, big or small, has made a real difference. Thanks to your amazing support, we’ve now sorted through all the items and bagged everything up, ready to be shared with the food bank and the families who need it most.

We’re so proud of what we’ve achieved together, and we’re excited to finish the final part of our collection on Monday as we visit the schools taking part. 🎒✨

Our 12 Days of Christmas Food Bank Collection is officially underway, and today’s the big day! 🚨❤️

All of us firefighters are getting our bags, boots and festive spirits ready as we set off from 9am to visit homes across our community. We’ll be coming by to collect your generous food donations and make sure they reach the families who need them most this Christmas.

Your kindness is what makes this tradition so special — together, we’re spreading warmth, hope and a whole lot of festive cheer. 🌟
