The Ashfield Independents claimed that the district council was in "advanced talks" with the NHS about turning the Hucknall Sixth Form Centre into a super health centre.

Ashfield District Council then confirmed after May's election that it never even had a reply from the NHS to the proposal.

Hucknall’s Liberal Democrat candidates in the County Council elections are Martin Howes in Hucknall North and James Harvey in Hucknall South.

Martin and James each live in the part of Hucknall they hope to represent on the council. They will always listen to the concerns of local people. They will speak up for our town.

At this stage, Ashfield District Council is consulting on three things:
1) whether the plan complies with legal requirements,
2) whether the plan is sound,
3) whether the plan has been prepared in accordance with the Council's duty to cooperate.
