Well that's us done for the summer holidays. We would like to say a massive thank you for all our cards and presents , your appreciation means alot because we really do put all that we have to give into our work. We wish all the children and their families that have now left us all the best for the future we are so proud of you all.
And to our remaining children we look forward to seeing you again on Wednesday 2nd September for the start of a new school year.

Good morning , just to let you all know in advance that we may have to make the decision to close at 1.00 today due to the heat we are experiencing. We have come in this morning and the building is very hot , we are doing what we can to cool it down but the day is only going to get hotter . The welfare of our children has to come first and if the conditions are too hot we will be closing . Hope you all understand .

We often talk about small children drowning. But any child can drown - even strong swimmers.

They may overestimate how strong a swimmer they are or underestimate risks in the sea or open water, like lakes, rivers and reservoirs.

Please talk to your older children about water safety:

💧Teach them to choose safe places to swim like public pools and beaches with lifeguards

💧Explain the risk of swimming in open water. Even on a very warm day, open water can be cold enough to cause cold water shock. This physical reaction makes it hard to control breathing or to swim, causing swimmers to panic.

💧Talk to them about what to do if this ever happens. And teach them how to float.

We would like to give a big welcome back to Liana Mosley who will be returning to work tomorrow after her 9 month maternity leave . She will be working every Tuesday and Thursday up until the 6 weeks holidays, then in September she will be working Monday to Thursday 😀
