We’re coming to Dewsbury to hear from council tenants 👋

We want to know what good customer service looks like to you, and the standards and behaviours you expect from our staff.

Our next informal tenant focus group will take place at:

What you tell us will help shape our new Competence and Conduct Policy and the standards we set for Homes and Neighbourhoods staff.

What does good customer service look like to you?

We want to hear from council tenants about the standards and behaviours you expect from our staff.

We’ll be joining the Windybank TRA coffee morning on Wednesday 9 September for an informal discussion. Your feedback will help shape our new Competence and Conduct Policy and the standards we set for Homes and Neighbourhoods staff.

📍 Windybank Community Centre, Central Avenue, Liversedge

☕ Coffee morning from 10am, with the discussion taking place around 11am

Today is the final stop on our summer roadshow tour, and our teams are out in Dewsbury ready to chat until 6pm.

We’ve had some much sunnier stops along the way, as the photos prove, but a bit of Yorkshire weather isn’t going to stop us.

Reminder tenants and leaseholders in Cowersley, Dalton and Dewsbury, the last of our Summer Roadshow events are this week.

Come down and tell us what matters most to you to help shape our services. There will be a number of teams there from Tenant Voice, Repairs, Damp & Mould to Customer Experience and many more.

It’s free! We will have refreshments and lots of fun activities for the children. We hope to see you there.

Another brilliant afternoon on our summer roadshows! ☀️

Yesterday we were in Netherton, where tenants, residents and families joined us for activities, conversations and the chance to meet teams from across the council.

Thanks to everyone who came along, and to all our colleagues who helped make it happen. 💙

What a brilliant afternoon in Almondbury! ☀️

Yesterday we kicked off our summer roadshows, bringing tenants, residents and council teams together for an afternoon of family activities, conversations and support.

There was plenty going on, from face painting and balloon animals to bracelet making and a bouncy castle, as well as the chance to chat with teams from across the council.

We’re back out again today!

📍 Netherton Estate, behind Netherton Community Centre, 17 Rowan Avenue Mews, Netherton, HD4 7WH

North Kirklees Action Day success! 🏘️

Across Cleckheaton, Gomersal, Batley and Birstall, H&N Estate Caretakers have been at Retirement Living Schemes improving the local environment for residents.

They've been cutting grass, maintaining shrubbery and giving communal gardens a good tidy-up. Fly-tipping has also been removed.

They also managed to speak to 15 residents on the day who were very happy with the results.
