Goldington Recreation Ground has been designed to accommodate through-age and inclusive play with a range of kit to provide different activities and experiences. Existing elements, such as the goal end and basketball hoop have been retained with additions such as the fun ball game; a feature that allows the younger age group to emulate the older children playing basketball.

Improved and accessible surfacing throughout the play area allows year-round easy access.

The site commands extensive views across the valley, so the tree species choice and planting location is crucial so as not to obscure this.

The site is now complete in time for the summer holidays.

Another recently completed project by our team of Landscape Architects. This was a park regeneration project, that included this bespoke designed entrance feature , a new fitness park and play facilities. At Algernon Firth Park, Heckmondwike.

Its been a while since we posted, we have been very busy delivering more of the Kirklees playable spaces programme.
This play space at Warburton Recreation ground has been recently completed, and what a positive transformation it has made!

Beaumont Park has just been voted as a “Local Favourite” in the Fields in Trust’s UK’s Favourite Parks 2022 award. Here are some photos taken yesterday of the play area designed and delivered by Kirklees Landscape Architects and officially opened by the mayor of Kirklees on August the 21st.

We are proud to have developed this idea of air pollutant absorbing panels and facilitated the commissioning and realisation with Artist Adrian Riley.

Award-winning artist Adrian Riley is the latest to add to the Dewsbury Creative Town Arts Programme, his installation ‘Walls Have Ears’ gives a voice to the town.
