The zip wire in the playground has suffered damage and is currently closed for safety reasons.

We are arranging repairs and will reopen it as soon as it is safe to do so.

Sad to see the amount of rubbish being dumped around the village, particularly Irish Hill lately! 🚮

If you are out in the area, please take your food wrappers, bottles, and packaging home with you. Leaving it behind harms local wildlife and ruins the landscape for everyone else.

A quick heads-up to those responsible: Receipts and items were left behind containing names and card details. These are easily traceable and can be passed directly to West Berkshire Council’s enforcement team. Save yourself the fine and bin your rubbish!

PUBLIC CONVENIENCES
We’re sorry to report that there has been an incident of vandalism at the public toilets.

The men’s toilets are currently closed.

These toilets are provided for the whole community, and we kindly ask everyone to help us keep them clean, safe, and open.

Please note that incidents of vandalism will be reported to the police.

Sadly the dog show at the Summer Event in Kintbury on Saturday has been cancelled BUT all the other wonderful activities will be going ahead and there will be some vintage vehicles and the England World Cup match will be shown in the evening! We look forward to seeing you.

✅ Please put your bins/containers out the night before your collection day as your collection may take place earlier than usual.

Due to this emergency closure, Newbury & District service 3\3a will be on diversion via Newbury wharf, parkway and A4 to Kintbury (vice versa towards Newbury)
