Yesterday we attended the launch of the new Best Start Family Hub in Huntingdon.

The Hub is a place where families can access joined-up support, advice and services in their local communities. You can find out more about the Hub here:

https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/residents/children-and-families/best-start-in-life

Best Start Family Hubs are free to use and are open to all families.

While we were there it was wonderful to see the nature signs that we supported Wild About Huntingdon to purchase through our enabler fund at the entrance and to hear all about the fabulous services our local libraries offer inside too!

It was a pleasure to attend the opening of Fenstanton Village Hall yesterday. What a wonderful community asset they have created!

We have been working with the Fenstanton Village Hall Trust to help them equip the new building using the Match My Project Platform.

Match My Project connects community groups, schools and voluntary organisations with businesses that can offer materials, skills, advice training and volunteer time and is free to use.

Through this platform Fenstanton Village Hall have received a TV screen, seating, tables and equipment for a community café amongst other things.

To register click here https://matchmyproject.org/cambridgeshire-county-council

We also supported the Village Hall Trust in their application to become a Digital Hub through Connecting Cambridgeshire and it was great to see that is up and running too.

If you would like more information on how the Communities Service might be able to support you and your organisation please get in touch!
