Magpas Air Ambulance brings crucial lifesaving care by land and air to patients in life-threatening emergencies in the East of England and beyond, 24/7. The Magpas Air Ambulance medical team receives enhanced training which allows them to offer procedures and treatments at the scene, like general anaesthetic, which are usually only available in hospital. This means that the frontline care the team delivers doesn’t just save lives, it helps seriously ill and injured people return to a good quality of life. The charity relies on generous public donations to continue saving lives.

It's been two years since our helicopter touched down at the Magpas Air Ambulance Headquarters for the first time.

In that time, our aviation team has flown over 58,900 miles on board G-MPAS, landing in locations spanning 12 counties in and around the East of England.

By bringing what is effectively a hospital emergency department directly to our patients’ side, this aircraft has helped our team of clinicians provide advanced medical care to thousands of people over the past two years; saving lives and keeping families together when every second counts.

We’ve won! 🏆

We’re thrilled to share that Magpas Air Ambulance, alongside colleagues at Essex & Herts Air Ambulance and East Anglian Air Ambulance Charity , won the Excellence in Collaboration award at the British Quality Foundation UK Excellence Awards 2026 last night.

The award recognises our 'Sharing for Success' events, which provide us the opportunity to build and strengthen our partnership, share knowledge and learn from one another, helping us give patients across the East of England the best possible care.

A huge thank you to everyone across all three charities who make these events, and this award win, possible. We’re so proud of what we can achieve together.

The Blue Light Card Foundation is offering 20 emergency services organisations £2,000 each to boost wellbeing in their workplaces. We want to use this to create an outdoor space for our crews to relax between missions and connect with each other and nature.

A big shout-out to the teams across Bedfordshire who joined Core Performance gym to go 'All In For Life' to raise money for Magpas Air Ambulance.

Groups of four took on a series of fitness challenges to raise awareness and vital funds to help us continue saving lives in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and beyond—including our very own team who joined in the fun. The event also had stalls, food vans and our CPR trainers on site to make a day of it.

In total, the gym and all those who took part raised an incredible £4,360 for our lifesaving cause (more than double their target!), and we couldn't be more grateful. Thank you to everyone who took part and showed their support!

Every year, charities miss out on £560 million in unclaimed Gift Aid. This Gift Aid Awareness Day, we want to thank everyone who donates to Magpas Air Ambulance and ticks the Gift Aid box for helping us do even more with your donation.

If you’re a UK taxpayer, saying yes to Gift Aid means Magpas Air Ambulance can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give. That extra support can help keep us flying, pay for state-of-the-art medical equipment and help our team save even more lives.
