Thank you to everyone who has participated in our Play Area Consultation so far.

We've received some brilliant feedback, ideas and suggestions from residents across Huntingdon, including lots of input from local children and families. Every response helps us build a better picture of how our play areas are used and where future improvements should be focused.

If you haven't yet had your say, there's still time. The consultation closes on Monday 31 August.

After closely monitoring the forecast, we've taken the difficult decision to cancel Friday's Sunset Beats & Bites event.

We've been fortunate to enjoy some fantastic summer evenings together this year, but unfortunately the weather isn't looking kind for our final event, and we don't feel it would be fair on our traders, performers, visitors or staff to proceed.

Thank you to everyone who has attended, traded, performed and supported Sunset Beats & Bites throughout the summer. Despite this disappointing end to the season, we've loved seeing the Market Square come to life each month and are incredibly proud of what has been another successful year for the event series.

We're already looking ahead to bringing Sunset Beats & Bites back in 2027, and we'd welcome any feedback you may have on this year's events to help us shape future programmes.

Thank you for your understanding and support, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Due to the forecast thunderstorms, we've made the difficult decision to cancel today's final drop-in session at Sallowbush Road Play Area.

We have been overwhelmed by the response to our Heritage Open Days talk on The Huntingdonshire Witch Trials.

Due to unprecedented demand, we have moved the event from the Court Room to the larger Assembly Room at Huntingdon Town Hall, allowing even more people to attend.

In the first instance, additional places have been offered to those on our waiting list. We are now pleased to announce that 15 tickets remain available.

๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ These final tickets will be released at 10:00am on Tuesday 25 August.

Once these tickets have been allocated, the event will be fully booked and any further requests will be added to the waiting list.

If you already have tickets and can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer your place to someone else.

Thank you for the incredible interest in this event. We look forward to welcoming everyone for what promises to be a fascinating evening exploring this intriguing chapter of Huntingdonshire's history.

As part of Heritage Open Days, and in collaboration with The Cromwell Museum, Huntingdon, join us for a guided tour of one of Huntingdon's most recognisable historic buildings.

Discover the history of the Town Hall, learn about its role at the heart of the community, and explore areas not usually open to the public.

Thank you to Capital & Centric and to all the members of the public for attending Huntingdon Town Council's Planning Committee tonight. There were some robust comments and discussions which the representatives from Capital and Centric have stated will inform any future consultation.

There will be an extraordinary meeting of the Planning Committee held on Tuesday 25th August 2026 at 7pm, at Huntingdon Town Hall, to consider a response.

The minutes of the meeting held tonight will be available on our website soon for those that were unable to attend.

As a reminder, there is a meeting of the Planning Committee today (Tuesday 18 August) from 7pm at Huntingdon Town Hall.

Huntingdon Town Council have invited Capital & Centric to this meeting to give a presentation on the proposed developments at Huntingdon bus station, Princes Street car park and Cowper House. They are expected to attend from 8pm, following their consultation session in St Neots from 4pm-7pm.

There will be an opportunity for members of the public to speak and ask any questions.
