It is run entirely by volunteers and has strong relationships with the Cambridgeshire Library Services and Brampton Parish Council.

In June next year, we will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the opening of a Community Library in Brampton. We are expecting the Community Centre to be redecorated very soon and , after that, will be displaying photos and information about our development over the 10 years. If you're a fan of book-to-screen and prefer to read first, then you may want to borrow Kristin Hannah's bestselling novel The Nightingale. It is set for a cinematic release on March 19, 2027, with film versions of at least two other books (The Great Alone and The Women) currently in development.

Directed by Michael Morris and distributed by TriStar Pictures, this World War II drama follows two estranged sisters in German-occupied France. It stars real-life sisters Dakota Fanning and Elle Fanning in their first onscreen pairing as Vianne and Isabelle.

Had a lovely afternoon yesterday with our volunteers, celebrating the fact that 10 years ago the concept of having a library in Brampton became a real possibility. Some of the volunteers from that time are still very actively involved today. They have been joined over time by others who all share a love of reading and contributing to the community.
Many thanks to Rosie Goates (https://www.facebook.goatescakes) for the beautiful cake. It was delicious.
Further information will be coming as we plan our celebration of the day we opened to the public for the first time in June 2017.

FINAL CALL for the Summer Reading Challenge

The challenge finishes this Saturday, 5th September. Please make sure your children have registered 6 books read over the summer holidays with us.

Medals and certificates can be collected on Saturday 12th September.

The Summer Reading Challenge will soon be over. Please be aware the last day for registering books and getting stickers is Saturday 5th September. Children need to have registered 6 books to be eligible for their certificates and medals.

The day for collecting certificates and medals will be Saturday 12th September.

We're all delighted that the Summer Reading Challenge 'Read to the Beat' is up and running now. It's great fun talking to our younger readers about the books they're reading. With a record number of children having joined the scheme this year, don't forget to register each weekly book read with us so that your child will get their medals and certificates in September. There are lots of ways for children to enjoy their books.
