We’re celebrating 60 years of Grafham Water this summer – and what better way to say thank you than by helping more people to get out and enjoy it.

As part of the Great British Summer Savings scheme, we’re reducing prices on our brand-new indoor soft play and kids’ meals.

Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, there’s never been a better time to make a day of it.

Available from 25 June to 1 September, with savings applied automatically to new and existing bookings.

Welcome to The Waterfront! 🎉

It was fantastic to see local families, volunteers, and members of the press join us to celebrate the launch of our exciting new café and family hub.

A huge thank you to local MP Ben Obese-Jecty for cutting the ribbon and helping mark this special occasion.

The Waterfront has been designed as a place for visitors of all ages to relax, play and make memories.

Open daily from 9:30am–5pm and dog friendly, it's the perfect spot to plan a family day out, to meet friends for coffee, or enjoy lunch with a view. Alongside our brand-new menu, which caters for a range of dietary requirements, visitors can enjoy soft play for children aged 6 and under, mini golf, the giant pillow and play park. We also offer dedicated SEN soft play sessions every Wednesday at 4pm.

Saturday marked the start of , and with the hot weather on its way, we understand how tempting it can be to cool off in the water. ​

Tragically, many incidents involve children and young people, showing just how quickly things can go wrong around open water.​

We are proud of being one of the biggest reservoirs in England, but swimming in reservoirs can be life-threatening if unsupervised. Cold water, mud and strong currents can catch anyone out – please don’t enter the water unless involved in a planned activity. ​

This Volunteers’ Week, we’re celebrating the brilliant team who help keep Grafham Water looking its best 💚​

Over the past few years, our gardening volunteers have transformed the areas around the visitor centre and mini golf - from bulb planting and nurturing new growth, to scattering wildflower seeds that are now coming into their own as we head into summer 🌸​

Their time, care and commitment make a real difference to the experience visitors have every day - and to the spaces we all enjoy.​

This , we’re celebrating the people who make moments like this possible 💚​

Earlier this year at Grafham Water, over 800 volunteers came together to support a major tree planting project with Creating Natures Corridors. ​

In this video, Mike Drew shares what it meant to be part of something bigger, and the power of people coming together to make a difference for wildlife, the landscape, and future generations.​

Hot weather alert - please don't swim or use inflatables in the water.
We know it looks tempting to take a dip in Grafham Water during this sunny spell - but please don't swim or use inflatables in the reservoir.
⚠️The water may look inviting, but it hides cold temperatures, strong currents and underwater hazards that can put lives at risk.
If you do accidentally find yourself in the water or in trouble, then remember to Float to Live.
Tilt your head back with your ears submerged, relax and try to control your breathing, move your hands and legs if needed, and remember that it’s OK if your legs sink. Once your breathing is under control, call for help or swim to safety.

We’re so proud to have partnered with local charity Creating Natures Corridors to bring this project to life at Grafham Water 💚

Alongside hundreds of volunteers from local businesses and communities, we’ve planted thousands of trees, creating new habitats for wildlife and a space for people to connect with nature – something we know matters now more than ever.

While the main tree planting has now come to an end, the story doesn’t stop here. Rory’s Wood has a dedicated memorial area, where you can sponsor a tree or a bench in memory of a loved one - leaving a lasting legacy in a truly special place.
