We would like to wish our staff, patients and communities a Happy Janmashtami.

The Krishna Janmashtami festival marks the birth of Krishna, one of the most popular Gods in the Hindu pantheon. It is a joyous time involving group dancing and singing songs (bhajans) as well as ritual practices of fasting and worship of Krishna.

Krishna's birthday is celebrated eight days after Raksha Bandhan in the month of Sravana and celebrations are spread over two days.

Congratulations to Ward B1, who recently received Gold in their Ward Accreditation for a second consecutive year, demonstrating excellent standards across all areas of care and a strong commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care.

Ward Accreditation is a supportive quality improvement process and is an internal assessment process which helps the Trust assess performance, provide assurance, and identify opportunities to improve patient care and aligns with the Care Quality Commission’s 13 fundamental standards of care.

Wards within our hospitals are assessed against these standards and criteria and are awarded Foundation, Bronze, Silver or Gold. Each assessment highlights strengths and areas for improvement, encouraging shared learning, collaboration and transparency across all wards and clinical areas.

A huge congratulations and a well done to everyone on B1, this is a brilliant achievement and reflects your hard work, dedication and focus on providing excellent care for your patients.

💙A huge thanks to everyone who supported the unique sleepover event at Peterborough Cathedral on Friday – making it a roar-some success in support of young hospital patients.

Over 120 people – including siblings Felix (9) and Iris (8) - spent the night in the Cathedral sleeping beneath Titanosaur, one of world’s largest dinosaurs! d🦖✨

Our friends at the Cathedral are supporting Amazon Ward through the fantastic family event, which is set to raise thousands of pounds .

Proceeds will be shared equally between North West Anglia Hospitals Charity - Amazon Ward Children's Fund and Peterborough Cathedral’s charitable work.

Children across Huntingdonshire and Fenland go back to school this week. The ones starting reception today will be in their twenties by the time the new Hinchingbrooke Hospital has been open a decade.

That is who this is being built for, as well as for all of us now.

A new hospital, on this site, with a single room for every inpatient, by 2032, is set. What it is like to walk into, find your way around, wait in and recover in is not, and parents, carers and young people are the people who can tell us. Add your voice: hinchingbrookehospital.commonplace.is

Open until Sunday 27 September.
