DOWEA - Alconbury Middle High School DOWEA is a field activity of the Office of the Secretary of War. Each region is managed by a Director for Student Excellence.

It is headed by a director who oversees all agency functions from DOWEA headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. DOWEA's schools are divided into three regions; DOWEA Europe; DOWEA Pacific; and DOWEA Americas. Wi

There is a new DoWEA policy for personal portable electronics usage during school hours. Personal portable electronics, including cell phones, must be off and away in back packs or lockers all day. This includes lunch for high school students, unless they are going off campus for lunch.

As we approach the start of SY 2026-2027, we are sad to say goodbye to our assistant principal, Dr. Taekisha Vaughan. We are thankful for everything she has done at AMHS over the last three years and the impact she has made on the students and staff. Dr. Vaughan has moved to Camp Humphries to serve as the Education Technologist ISS. Thank you and best of luck with your new position!
