We believe that each trainee brings a unique perspective and set of experiences to the learning environment. By placing the trainee at the centre of their model, we empower them to develop their own voice and approach within the counselling profession. This personalised learning path encourages trainees to engage deeply with theoretical concepts from a variety of schools, critically evaluate different methodologies, and integrate these insights into their own practice.

Our commitment to trainee-centred learning is reflected in our emphasis on critical thought. We encourage trainees to question, analyse, and synthesise information, fostering a culture of intellectual curiosity and rigorous inquiry. This not only enhances their understanding of counselling theories but also equips them with the skills to adapt and innovate in response to the evolving needs of their clients.

Furthermore, we value the development of authentic, personalised models of theory. By supporting trainees in exploring and refining their own theoretical frameworks, we help them to build a strong foundation for their professional practice. This process is guided by established integrative methodology, ensuring that trainees’ personal models are both innovative and grounded in evidence-based practice.
