Last Saturday's peal band, made up of members of St. Olave's Society in London, rang a very round 5000 changes of Bristol Royal. This is a method which involves all of the bells ringing faster and slower, including the 2 tonne tenor!

As is tradition, they then went to the pub to celebrate their success! Thanks to The George Hotel Inveraray and their b**r garden for the drinks and the hospitality!

It's an exciting end of the week for our tower this week! If you're in Inveraray you'll be able to hear the bells on the 1st and the 3rd October.

If you were in Inveraray last weekend you will have heard some fantastic ringing by the Society of Royal Cumberland Youths. They rang 12 spliced methods not only composed by, but entirely created by one of the band! Here they are enjoying a well earned pint or two in the pub afterwards 🍺

This Saturday, a peal band will be visiting Inveraray Bell Tower, so you can hear the bells between 11-4pm on the 19th!

While our summer season may be over, Inveraray Bell Tower still has much to offer! The church grounds are open every day and you can see how majestic and unchanging the tower is on the skyline. In fact, the only difference between this picture and now is that the trees may have grown a little 🪾🌳

In Inveraray this week? This could be you, admiring the views over Loch Fyne from the roof of the tallest building in town 😮🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔.

We also have a visiting band on Saturday so you'll also be able to hear the bells throughout the day (the tower will be open as normal but, bonus, you will be able to see the ringers and watch the bells move!)

Here's some Grandsire Caters from our festival weekend. We rang a whole range of methods and called changes so everyone, regardless of ability, got several turns at ringing!

While the festival only happens once a year, we have regular visiting peal bands. The next time you can hear the bells ringing will be on Saturday 29th August - the tower will still be open to the public, just make sure you follow instructions, and don't distract the ringers. We are also open 7 days a week all summer, from 10:30-16:30

While the bells may not always be ringing, the tower is always open to see how massive they are! We're open 7 days a week 🥳
