📢The Taic Freumhan Coimhearsnachd (Community Grants Fund) is open to applications for 2027-29‼️

Applications can be made for up to 2 years of funding and the scheme is open both to community-based organisations and individuals.

Organisations may apply for up to £6,000 for projects lasting up to 12 months or up to £12,000 for projects lasting up to 24 months.

This year we are especially interested in supporting projects which will deliver on:
· Gaelic events in your community and online
· Projects and opportunities that encourage young people to use Gaelic together outside of school
· Projects that support Gaelic usage among families and between generations
· Adult Gaelic learning in the community
· Colmcille – Building connections between speakers of Gaelic and Irish

✨Fee waivers may be available for UHI, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and NHS Western Isles staff as well as parents and carers of children in Gaelic Medium Education.

Our consultation on the second edition of our Gaelic Language Plan is open, and we’d like to hear what you think.

We’re asking you to read the draft plan and tell us: have we got the balance right? Are there areas we could strengthen or improve?

Your feedback will help us make sure the final plan is ambitious, practical and reflects how we can support and promote Gaelic through our work.

The University of Glasgow has launched a public consultation on its draft Gaelic Language Plan 2027-2032, setting out a vision for strengthening Gaelic learning, teaching, research and community engagement over the next five years.

The University is seeking views from colleagues, students and the wider community to ensure the plan reflects the aspirations and priorities of those who engage with Gaelic across the University and beyond.

The consultation will close on 11/11/26🗓
