Last week, Laura Harper, National Leader/CEO of L'Arche UK came to visit us at L'Arche Highland, and she managed to visit all of our shared houses. She even managed to dip her toes in Loch Ness without Nessie nibbling them!

We celebrated an amazing afternoon this week throwing a little going-away party for our Sarah before she heads off on maternity leave. Sarah has been part of our Community for close to a decade, and we wish her the very best of luck, and God's blessing, as she embarks on a new chapter in her life.

Call for donations! Saturday 20th June, L'Arche Highland will be walking and wheeling around Inverness to raise money for our community and our sister community in Palestine, L'Arche Bethlehem.

Eve will visit Highland on her way north from L'Arche Edinburgh

Meet Eve 🚴‍♀️✨

Eve has been part of the L'Arche Edinburgh community since September 2024 as a Live-In Assistant, bringing care, kindness, and joy to the people around her. As she prepares to leave us later this year, she is taking on an incredible challenge before she goes, cycling all the way from Inverness to Edinburgh this June to raise £1000 in support of the community. 💙

We gathered today for a BBQ to celebrate the 26th anniversary of the opening of Mactalla, our house in Crown, Inverness. We were delighted to be joined by Emma Roddick SNP , newly elected as our constituency MSP, who gamely joined our karaoke session, and Judith Harries, Housing Quality and Development Manager, for L'Arche UK. It goes without saying that there were smiles, a cake and dancing too, key ingredients of any L'Arche gathering!
