🔵 Scottish Conservative WIN: Highlands and Islands

10/05/2026

While I’m obviously disappointed not to have been returned to Parliament, can I thank all those who have supported me at this election and over my 9 years as an MSP.

It’s been the greatest honour to serve the people and communities of the Highlands and Islands. It’s not an easy job. And it involves long hours and hard work. But it is so important and one that is deeply rewarding.

I wish all those elected to represent our region all the very best.

TODAY IS POLLING DAY: If you miss out voting today, don't be surprised if you end up with an SNP majority tomorrow.

Use your Peach ballot for the Scottish Conservatives- even if you prefer to support another party on the purple ballot this time.

The last thing that Scotland and the Highlands need is a divisive Independence Referendum.

When we talk to voters and businesses the main concerns are the cost of energy, the hike in business rates and the need to fix our roads, schools and housing.

We're focused on the issues and on delivery! 💪

To stop a divisive referendum, vote Scottish Conservatives on your peach ballot this Thursday.

If John Swinney gets a majority, the first thing he’ll do is demand another referendum.

We can’t let that happen.

Stop an SNP majority by voting Scottish Conservative on your peach ballot paper on Thursday.

Right now, family finances have never been under more pressure.
The cost of living crisis is real - and it demands real solutions, not empty promises.

We'll focus financies where it's needed most - in schools, in our police, in childcare.

Our manifesto is fully costed because Scotland needs a party that doesn't just talk about supporting you - but has a credible plan to actually do it.

Vote for economic responsibility on 7th May, vote Scottish Conservatives

BREAKING: On Orkney and Shetland, there is a secret weapon to stopping an SNP majority.

When you go to vote, you'll get two ballots- a Peach and a Purple.

The purple is a ballot like you'd see at a General Election.

The Peach is the party ballot: your SECRET WEAPON- voting Scottish Conservative on this ballot gives us the best chance of stopping an SNP majority. It worked in 2016 and 2021.

Even if you don't choose to vote Scottish Conservative on the Purple, lend us your Peach vote to stop the SNP!

âš¡ The Highlands and Islands has incredible natural energy resources - but communities must come first.

We'll pause major energy infrastructure applications until a proper National Energy Policy is in place. No more large-scale projects imposed from the top down.

Real community benefit. Real community say.

And for those struggling with heating bills - an energy discount scheme and Cold Weather Payments restored for the most vulnerable.

🌾 The rural economy of the Highlands and Islands is the backbone of our region and it deserves real support.

We commit to a £50m boost to the rural affairs budget, supporting less red tape and more on-the-ground action.

Island farmers protected from one-size-fits-all greening rules that don't work in practice and a single point of contact for rural support funding.

Scotland's food and drink reputation is world-class. Let's back the people who built it 🥩
